About – Wayne's Workshop

Wayne’s workshop is a creative space where a small number of like-minded people meet to make ‘stuff’.

We like to share our discoveries over a biscuit or three while we drink large volumes of liquid that unfortunately usually contain more sugar than we should allow into our systems.

We’re hands on we’re not always on hand in person however we support one another with a good deal on online banter and encouragement to be our best, and do our best rather than settle for anything less.

We’re a small group of passionate Makers who love to design, create and innovate from the beautiful city of Whangarei, in the Land of the Long White Cloud – Aotearoa – New Zealand.

Most of the posts to this site relate to past events simply because we don’t want to spoil the reveal for our current projects. However there is always something on the go!

We meet most weeks throughout the year in Wayne’s Workshop and focus on projects that allow us to to re-purpose, re-use and recycle stuff – both old and new.

Workshop space is limited and sometimes we can end up tripping over each others feet when too many people show… so to manage the masses and get the message out we use Meetup to advertise time, date & venue.
